Humanify Content Grader
We wrecked it. The internet is now filled with spammy, unreadable content. The average blog post published today was written by a language model, tidied up in five minutes, and scheduled without a second thought. Nobody’s embarrassed about this. Some people are proud of it. And the result is a web that’s technically fuller than it’s ever been and somehow harder to find anything useful in. So I’ve made something that’ll hopefully help with this problem. In this article, I talk about a new WP Plugin I built to help void create better content.
Introducing Humanify Content Grader WordPress Plugin
Available Now in WordPress Plugin Directory
Humanify Content Grader is a free WordPress plugin that scores your content on how robotic or AI-generated it sounds, before you hit publish. It’s tough and will push you to be more creative and to avoid relying on weak generative content. Honestly, I would be surprised if anyone could get a perfect score. But that’s kind of the point. We want better quality content now more than ever.
Humanify analyzes your post and gives it a score from 0 to 100. The lower is better. A low score means your writing reads as if a person wrote it. A high score means you’ve got work to do.
The scoring isn’t based on some black-box algorithm that sends your content to an external server. It runs entirely in the browser, locally, with no API calls and no data collection. What you write stays with you. As you write or edit your content, the score will improve. That’s pretty cool!

What It Actually Checks
The plugin grades content across 14 signals. These aren’t arbitrary. They’re based on real patterns that recur in AI-generated text.
Things like:
- AI buzzwords that sneak into generated content constantly (“delve,” “robust,” “streamline,” “it’s worth noting”)
- Overused filler phrases that pad word count without adding meaning
- Em dash overuse, which is genuinely one of the most reliable tells for AI writing
- Passive voice patterns that make content feel distant and corporate
- Sentence uniformity, because AI tends to write in a weirdly consistent rhythm that real writers don’t
- Leftover chat artifacts, like phrases that make sense in a chatbot response but not in a published article
Together, these signals give you a realistic picture of how human your content actually sounds.
Who This Is For?
I mean, these days… everyone. But three types of people will get the most out of this.
- SEO professionals are auditing client content. If you’re reviewing a client’s blog and trying to explain why their traffic dropped after a helpful content update, a concrete score is more useful than a vague feeling. This gives you something to point at.
- Writers who use AI as a starting point. There’s nothing wrong with using AI to get a draft off the ground. The problem is publishing that draft without properly humanizing it. Humanify shows you where robotic patterns still show up, so you can actually fix them.
- Site owners who care about quality. If you run a site where content quality matters, whether for SEO, brand reputation, or just basic respect for your readers, this gives you a quick gut-check before anything goes live.

How It Works Inside WordPress
The plugin drops straight into your existing editing workflow. No setup, no account, no monthly fee.
In the block editor, it appears as a sidebar panel. In the classic editor, it shows up as a meta box below the content area. You write, it analyzes in real time, and you see your score without leaving the editor.
There’s nothing to configure. Install it, activate it, and it’s just there.
Why Free? – Cause Why Not
Humanify Content Grader is completely free. No upsell, no pro version, no “basic features free, real features paid” nonsense. The goal is simple: help people publish content that actually sounds like it was written by a human. If that raises the overall quality of content on the web even slightly, that’s worth something.
You can find it now in the WordPress plugin directory by searching Humanify Content Grader, or install it directly from your WordPress dashboard. The internet has enough slop. This is one small tool to help push back against it.
